1. Are you a Community Group?

Community Spaces defines a community group as a not for profit group made up of people living in one particular area or focused on a neighbourhood, who are considered as a unit because of their common interests, background, nationality or other circumstances.

The programme will not fund, housing associations, parish or town councils, individuals, sole traders, local authorities, schools, health bodies, profit-making organisations and other statutory bodies.
2. Is your project site open to the public for a substantial part of at least 6 days a week?

Community Spaces wants to support projects that are open to the public, non-fee paying and not restricted by membership or booking. If your project does not meet this criteria and is not open 6 days a week for a substantial part of the day your project will be rejected as ineligible. Further information can be found at: http://www.community-spaces.org.uk/default.aspx?page=4
3. Are you applying for between £10,000 - £49,999?

Community Spaces will only provide funding of between £10,000 - £49,999.
4. Are you requesting less than 25% of your grant for revenue costs?

Community Spaces is a majority capital funding stream – therefore only 25% of your grant request can be used on revenue expenditure (revenue expenditure includes day to day running costs such as salaries, consumables, postage etc).
