“Walgreen is honored to make the Information Week 500 list for 2011.  Achieving a place in the InformationWeek 500 is very important to the Walgreens Information Technology team.  This distinction provides our team with objective validation that the initiatives we have in place to support our business partners are contributing to the strategic initiatives of our organization.  In addition to the validation within our IT team, it is also critical that the areas within Walgreens supported by technology understand that our IT team is on the right path towards providing our partners with strategic solutions, expense management, continuous process improvement and speed to market largely enabled through the use of technology.  Walgreens position within the Information Week 500 is an acknowledgement to our people that they are truly driving value within the organization.”
