Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel - otherwise known as Mates of State - are sterling indiepop songsmiths whose music explores the strange and treacherous terrain of the heart. On their new album, 'Crushes,' they cover some of their favorite artists, including Tom Waits and Fleetwood Mac.
