
Richard Trudeau Advocacy Scholarship
The Richard Trudeau Advocacy Scholarship is given to young professionals who have demonstrated exceptional promise to be advocates for public policy and legislation that affects and supports parks, recreation, and the conservation of natural resources.
The scholarship is awarded on the basis of participation in advocacy activities and contributions to the parks and recreation profession. The scholarship will rocognize commitment and potential achievement in public policy and legislative advocacy attained by young professionals.
Scholarship recipients will receive funding in the amount of $1,000 to assist with expenses related to the participation in NRPA's Legislative Forum in Washington, D.C.

Eligibility
- Must be an current NRPA member
- Must possess a bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation or a related field. The applicant may either be currently employed in the field or pursuing a graduate level degree in Parks and Recreation or a related field.
- Must be an advocate for public policy that supports the acquisition of parkland, conservation of natural resources, and promotion of outdoor recreation opportunities on public lands and waters.
