Thank you for wanting to learn more about the L3C! We are very excited about the L3C and what it can offer social entrepreneurs and those starting or running businesses that put mission and purpose ahead of profit.
We were one of the first forty L3Cs organized in Vermont, the first state in the country to pass L3C legislation. We are the first L3C doing business in Colorado. Since we organized in February 2009, there are now two more L3Cs doing business in Colorado!
Part of our social mission/purpose is to educate entrepreneurs and others interested in the L3C hybrid business structure. We believe this new business model is very exciting and promising but yet also realize that it is very new, untested and will not be right for everyone in all situations.
As we educate and inform, we believe in sharing the "good, bad & the ugly". We believe in full transparency and while we consider ourselves very knowledgeable, we do not know "everything" and we will never pretend or portray that we do.
